THE TITLE of today’s show is a reference to a response Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg gave to a question during an interview last week with the New York Times Magazine:
Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe [v. Wade] was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.
Incredibly, the major media has basically left the story to bloggers plus a few conservative talk show hosts and newspaper columnists. Can you imagine what would have happened if, say, Clarence Thomas or Antonin Scalia had written (as President Obama’s science czar has) that social undesirables should be subjected to “coercive fertility control”?
It’s social darwinism gone wild, and it’s coming from the left.
Also: Canada’s PM Stephen Harper calls for global governance; Barack Obama and his staff running the whole show; EATR, the flesh-eating robot; robot-insects; more evidence that H1N1 is similar to the 1918 pandemic; record profits for Goldman Sachs; and aphrodisiac gum corrupting Gaza’s youth.
