YESTERDAY was the third and final day of the Miracles for Kids Radiothon here in Columbia. The Zimmer Radio Group (the company that now employs both Derek and Sharon) sponsored the fundraising event along with the Children’s Miracle Network.

In the final hour of The Drive, Derek challenged donors to meet the final goal in exchange for the shedding of his beard. Donors met the goal and more! Consequently, Derek tearfully submitted to a pair of hungry clippers (in the capable hands of a Children’s Hospital nurse).
