P.I.D. Radio 6/18/09: Blackjack

Blackjack

VIRAL marketing is all the rage, as recent campaigns for movies like Cloverfield, Snakes On A Plane, and Quarantine attest. But the Blackjack feature, which has been online at the website of the London Telegraph for months (picture at right; click for larger version), is hard to figure. Is it viral marketing, a poorly drawn web comic, or a psyop? Here’s the link; you decide.

    Love the podcast. It struck me that “New Dawn Presentations” might be an anagram — haven’t seen this tried anywhere else, so here’s the exclusive for PID Radio: “satan now new president” !!!

    Christians will be framed soon. Just like in Jerico where they blamed the conservative Americans for the crime. They will also keep putting the word out that libertarians need to be watched and those for the constitution are domestic terrorist.
    How many will then disassociate themselves from Christianity when this occurs?

    On the last slide of part one there is a white van with the letters NAU on it. This could stand for North American Union. I also went to the website jackblack12.info/antony and highlighted the page. Under the pic there is a black colored font line typed. Here are the digits as seen:

    TXkgZGVzb2xhdGlvbiBkb2VzlGJlZw2lulHRvlG1ha2UKQSBiZXR0ZXlgbGlmZQ ==

    In the original, what I think is a lower case l, is just an upright line. It might be the font setting the isn’t representing it sufficiently.

    alienspawn:

    That is base64 encoding. I think you might have copied it wrong because it is corrupt after the words “My desolation does” …

    In part 5 slide 8 the ID number on the card is similar in structure to the one listed above from the website.

  8. Looking 4 Something

    If you highlight the screen at jackblack12.info you will notice numbers and letters written below the picture. These numbers are similar to the structure on the ID number in part 5 slide 8.

    This is a paste of what is on the site. [Combine into one long string to decode — PID]
    TXkgZGVz
    b2xhdGlvb
    iBkb2VzIG
    JlZ2luIHRv
    IG1ha2UK
    QSBiZXR0
    ZXIgbGl
    mZQ==

    The script under the pic says “My desolation does begin to make a better life”

    The script on the ID card says “Hath Cadwel now to give it motion?”

    Thanks for telling me its base64.

    We continued talking about BlackJack on our 6/19 show. As for the clues — boy, they are all over the place! There are hexadecimal codes and base64 codes inserted in ‘invisible’ text in many of the images.

    Here’s the link for the forum I’ve been reading. The only way to ‘catch up’ is to read the entire 100+ page thread, but it’s worth it. BTW, there’s now a site (connected or not, it’s hard to know yet). Just insert a 13 where 12 is in the original site URL (jackblack13)

    Link to forum: http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69172&page=110

    If you look at the timers like yr day hr min sec:
    top timer: 6-22-2010
    bottom: 9-11-2011

    I am going to the link now

  13. Anonymous Coward

    Yes, alienspawn, you’re right — the top timer is for sure 6/22/2010 @ at 7:03 a.m. GMT. This is easily verifiable by looking at the page source code and converting the countdown “target” from its Unix date format. The second timer is set for 9/11/2011 @ 11:47 GMT. So, I think we’re OK for the next week (assuming this site is anything to go by 😉 )
