I suspect Sharon will achieve significant relief with this method as I noted her mention of difficulty with temperature regulation when your air conditioning unit went on the blitz…you may both also wish to consider techniques to expand your ability to be comfortable in varying temperature ranges…it also goes along way towards building and fortifying your immune system…one such method of achieving this is to use cold showers, i.e., nearing the end of your regular shower, for the last few seconds turn the water on as cold as you can stand (in Sharon’s case, only as cold as is comfortable and then warming the tissues again with warm not hot water). Increase the coldness and length of exposure incrementally each time you shower. Also, sitz baths can assist too, bringing fresh blood to the pelvis and organs of absorption (to ensure uptake of amino acids et al) and elimination – assisting further to remove toxins from the tissues and organs and increasing your body’s ability to regulate it’s temperature. Further to this end you might also wish to consider Magnesium supplementation as it is linked with (and most north Americans are deficient) temperature regulation, muscle energy, protein manufacturing and bone building.
Of course I need to say that this is not medical advice, and you do need to consult your ND or MD before beginning any new treatment method.
All the best to you both!!!
