P.I.D. Radio 11/12/10: Naked Body Scanners

REBELLION AGAINST the full-body X-ray scanners at American airports continues to grow. Apparently fighting terror in the air means a choice between risking skin cancer or a sexual assault by a TSA employee.

Also: media continues to sell the “missile was a plane” meme; the first study of links between pesticides and disappearing bees ready to begin; and big money backs a treatment for smallpox — which the World Health Organization declared eradicated more than 30 years ago!

Possible reason they’re working on a smallpox treatment: same reason the military has been giving smallpox vaccinations since 9/11. We KNOW the bad guys have some smallpox, and that weaponizing it would be effective– it’s not enough to have our military and some support be resistant, we’ve got to have some treatment to keep the country going when/if they use it against us.

I expect smallpox vaccinations to become more common, too.

does anyone know what the body scan image display used in the airports looks like? I have not seen their sample but am wondering how closely it resembles the images on the internet. My son said it did not look offensive. I have a hard time believing it is accurate.
