The supersized virus, named Pandoravirus, is thought to be the biggest ever found.

Interestingly, researchers say that “only 6% of its genes resembled genes seen before in other organisms on Earth.”  Of course, one of the researchers added that means the virus — wait for it — may have come from another planet, such as Mars.
