IN WHICH we briefly discuss the recent wave of TV programming that elevates the 16th century mystic to the status of prophet. Why are so many people drawn to these murky ramblings? Is it a plot by elites to program us to anticipate imminent doom, or is it simply a matter of network programmers feeding the public’s hunger for this type of cosmic fortune telling?

Also: CIA claims to stop Al Qaida “Underwear Bomb 2.0”; EU plots to scrap Britain; US deploys high-tech F-22 Raptor to within striking distance of Iran; more drone strikes in Pakistan; Russian troops train in Colorado in May; child porn on Facebook; mother who killed young sons thought devil was chasing her; and dead dolphins and pelicans in Peru.

P.I.D. Radio 4/15/12: Nuclear Drones

WE DIDN’T actually spend a lot of time discussing a proposal to power America’s growing force of drone aircraft with nuclear reactors, but it makes for a catchy title. Imagine, though, the surveillance and strike capability of drones that can stay aloft for years instead of days.

The trouble, of course, isn’t flying the drones; it’s when and how they come down that could be a problem. The good news is that “political pressures” appear to have killed the program.

Also: More calls for intervention in Syria; NATO and US arming Israel for war with Iran; Invisible Children spied for Ugandan government; Balochistan new human rights flashpoint; “fracking” tied to earthquakes; the bizarre death of a Hollywood publicist (and CIA operative?); and Texas hit with four feet of hailstones.

P.I.D. Radio 2/22/11: Tangled Webs

IT SEEMS another nation in the Middle East erupts with each passing day. Libya has nearly devolved into a civil war, and the Western media seems focused on the protests as struggles for freedom, and maybe they are. There is one aspect that is overlooked, however, which is that the first protests in Tunisia and Egypt were sparked by sharply rising food prices, which are being driven up by commodity traders — most of whom, we’d bet, don’t have to devote a big percentage of their income on loaves of bread.

Also: Iranian warships in the Med for the first time in 30 years; Saudi/Iranian showdown in Bahrain; CIA agent arrested in Pakistan; and the US paid millions for bogus intelligence software — and now covers it up by claiming “national security”.

P.I.D. Radio 6/13/10: Uzbeks

A NASTY fight in western Kyrgyzstan has destroyed the second largest city in that nation and forced 75,000 ethic Uzbeks across the border in Uzbekistan. We mention this because the Stans are considered by geopolitical experts the key to control of the “Earth Island”, which is itself key to controlling the planet.

Also: the situation in the Gulf of Mexico is worse than we’ve been told; Rahm Emanuel’s rent-free D.C. apartment has BP connection; Javier Solana joins the Trilateral Commission; Microsoft and Google represent at the Bilderberg meeting; Spain pushing for end to Gaza blockade; and Saudi Arabia gives Israel permission to fly over on bombing run against Iran’s nuke sites.

Dr. Michael Heiser has launched a pair on online learning institutes, the MEMRA Institute for Biblical and Ancient Studies and the Institute for Paranormal, Preternatural, and Parapsychological Studies (IPPPS). Registration is open with discounts through mid-September.

P.I.D. Radio 12/6/09: Copenhagen, Hopenhagen, or Gropenhagen?

PRESIDENT OBAMA has delayed his trip to Copenhagen until the final day of the climate talks, apparently banking on his personal charisma to bring home a climate change agreement with teeth in spite of the Climategate revelations of scientific impropriety. It’s an attempt to bring us another step closer to a global government.

But at least conference attendees can get free service from Copenhagen’s sex workers, which is, we assume, their contribution to the fight against global warming.

Also: Blackwater’s Erik Prince “graymails” the government; Rupert Murdoch signs deal with Saudi Prince Al-Walid bin Talal; bankers from Rothschild appointed to restructure Dubai World; UFOs over Illinois and cattle mutilations in Colorado; and AA Flight 77 hijack “impossible”.
