WATCHMEN<\/em> opened #1 at the box office last weekend after months of delay due to a legal battle between Fox and Warner Brothers over the distribution rights. No wonder; the book on which the film is based is the most influential graphic novel of the last 25 years.<\/p>\n

Author Alan Moore has also penned the graphic novels-turned-movies V For Vendetta<\/em>, From Hell<\/em>, and he created the ceremonial magician character John Constantine for the comic Hellblazer<\/em>, which was adapted into the Keanu Reeves vehicle Constantine<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Taylor Kent, AKA the Snarky Avenger, is a longtime fan and critic of comics and graphic novels, and he joined us this week to discuss the themes and influence of graphic novels on our culture.<\/p>\n
