“Crowdsourcing”, defined as “the act of outsourcing tasks, traditionally performed by an employee or contractor, to a large group of people or community”, is all the rage in the tech sector. Some of the most popular sites on the web, like Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, and Wikipedia, are crowdsourced — all that content is contributed by unpaid volunteers.

So why did the CIA invest $12.7 million in Facebook through its venture capital firm, In-Q-Tel?

We discuss our willingness to share information with friends, family, co-workers, and total strangers, how it’s being collected by intelligence agencies, and how it might be used to construct a virtual panopticon — a total surveillance society — for the coming one-world theocracy of the Antichrist.

FIRST, AN important announcement about the West Coast Conference on the Paranormal: Sheila Broughton has decided to cancel the conference rather than risk things not coming together the way they should. Stay tuned, though; ideas are flying about a virtual conference to take its place.

The rest of the show was a collection of thoughts and observations, ranging from the gruesome story of a man in south Texas convicted of beheading his common-law wife’s three small children; the possible discovery of the relics of John the Baptist in Bulgaria; and the pronouncement by Alan Greenspan that we’re in a double-dip recession.
